I’m used to Nero, but the version I have isn’t compatible with Vista. I’ve had a lot of burn failures with Roxio so far, although to be fair I’m not certain that the problems are all related to the software. I’m certain it’s not the disc themselves as they’re from a batch I used with almost perfect success on my old XP machine.

Anyway, after producing one too many coasters, I went looking for a freebie and found ImgBurn, a free CD/DVD burning tool. The interface is somewhat bare bones, but the feature list is decent. It will burn audio and data CDs and DVDs, as well as image files. I’ve had good luck with it so far, though I’ve only burned data DVDs.
